E-Mail in Style
Fairlie Firari - Per4mance1
2010 April 15

Most people do not put the same effort into reading emails as they do into writing them. Or rather, most people do not put much effort into reading or writing emails. How many times have you regretted pushing the send button? Reading emails as they are intended to be read and without misinterpretation is not as easy as reading into emails. We all have our own filters, and reasons for or ways of interpreting what someone is saying. 50% of emails are misinterpreted! What is difficult about emails is that they lack the verbal and visual cues we are so dependent on when we communicate face-to-face.

This seminar covers: Your E-Style, how to identify the e-style of others, what helps to diffuse emotions triggered by the content of poorly phrased or quickly written emails, how to understand the real intent of the message, and how to craft more productive emails.
